Blog it

I blog, yes I do, you may blog and many others blog too. Blogging doesn’t require a degree, no educational qualifications, no previous work experience, heck it doesn’t even require a computer these days. All it requires is an inane ability to string a set of words together to form a set of sentences and post them on your blog to qualify as blogging. I’m not going to define blogging, but for those who don’t know well now you know, your one super-fact for the day.

I made a blog when I got irritated of posting my articulate articles (clever ehh) as notes on a certain social networking site, more convenient plus no need to tag and block people from seeing them. Anyways, I in a certain way really do not officially blog, I merely post my idea’s as articles from time to time, eagerly checking for blog hits (up to 90 by now), though the majority are mine.

Blogging is not science which needs to be defined in a precise manner under certain conditions; People blog their thoughts, what they feel when their day at college, work whatever feels like shit or awesome. They post pics which they took or saw on the net and found them capable of public viewing. They literally type their thoughts down, filed away for later reference, they may not show them to anyone, but they feel good that they are up on the board. Strike one for them, zero for the world. Workplace, college place, home, nothing is spared in the blogging craze that sweeps us all. They let go in a vengeance, all the unspoken thoughts, the muttered under the breath swear words in different languages all unite in front of the biggest public forae of them all- the World Wide Web (capital W’s irritating, but necessary for emphasis). Nobody can recognise their typing, nobody may know their blog name, let alone the contents, but it hardly matters, because the Web is free for all and all content* (*- Conditions Apply).

We see the newly converted bloggers, taking their first new nervous steps in what is for them the elitist world of blogging, meant for the Celebrities of our nation who may or may not be media-shy; to conduct their in front of the computer screen non-physical battles with others like them, for free advertisement of their ilk (or kith and kin). Anyways, It’s a chance for the real people of the nation to showcase their somehow monotonous lives in front of everybody, to show people their lives and not always through rose-coloured glasses. We may not go to exotic destinations on a weekly basis, we may not receive sacks of money for 6 months work, but we always attempt to do the best in what we do because we have no alternative. The competition you see in the film industry, book publishing industry is nothing, I mean it, nothing at all, compared to the rat race we run each day for what we cannot see, but to quench the eternal thirst for a better day, a better week, heck, a better life.

Blogging is living an entire world away from the one we live in, in the blogosphere( cool, I know) we write what we want to, comment what we want on, show ourselves for what we are; may it be cynical, interesting, confused, boring we reveal all with no inhibitions. You may not know us, you may never meet us, but we respect ourselves for what we are, the mass body of people attempting to show the truth in their own ways and in the process hopefully get a multi-million dollar book deal or at least a weekly column with a leading newspaper/ and magazine. So, blog it.
